Friday, March 14, Opening Day Ceremony Party– Sun Lakes Country Club Location: Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. We will be in the Navajo room – in the main club house. The clubhouse is straight ahead at the end of the street from a left turn off Riggs coming from Alma School. Signs will take you to check-in through the main lobby.

 

The event opens at 3:00 p.m. and includes a ticket for a beer / wine/ or soda. There is a cash bar for cocktails. At 3:30, there will be opening introductions and welcome to all players and sponsors. Around 3:45- water balloon toss and mingling. 4:00 appetizers will be served along with live music by the Commo’s. Around 5:15- trophy's will be handed out – 5:30, close down. For those interested, tickets for the Awards Ceremony will be on sale at the door.

 

 Saturday, March 15, Social Pickleball  – Sun Lakes Country Club. Pickleball Courts. Location: Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. If you have never been there, this location is a little tricky. The clubhouse is straight ahead at the end of the street from a left turn off Riggs coming from Alma School. Drive to the covered parking area on the right, park and go to the far back at the end where you will see a grassy area with a walkway path. Go to the path and turn left about 100 ft. will be the pickleball courts behind the building. Warm up and registration starts at 8:30 and play starts around 9:00. Coffee and donuts will be available. Awards and gift prize drawings to be given out at the conclusion of the matches.

 

Tuesday, March 18, Short Court Tennis Round Robin – This event has been cancelled.

 

Thursday, March 20, Putt Away Putters Golf- Palo Verde Sisk Park Location: Sisk Park at Palo Verde​, 11119 East Drive Palo Verde County Club is off Alma School three blocks past Riggs Rd. Go to the San Tan Blvd. entrance. When you come to the gate and do not have a pass, tell the guard you are here for the senior games. Go straight past the club house to the first street (1/2/mile) – Flame tree. Turn right and make a quick left at the next street. You will see the rotunda on your right. Warm up and registration is at 8:30 and play starts around 9:00 a.m. Awards and gift prize drawings to be given out at the conclusion of the matches. Complimentary hot dog lunch will follow.

 

Friday, March 21, Corn Hole- Palo Verde Sisk Park –. Location: Sisk Park at Palo Verde​, 11119 East Drive Palo Verde County Club is off Alma School three blocks past Riggs Rd. Tuesday, March 25, Chip and Putt Golf and Driving Range Target Shoot

Location– Oakwood golf course 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd. chipping green and driving range area. When you go down Oakwood blvd, go to the end and use the turn about and park. The club house is the building at the side of the parking lot. Games are in conjunction with target golf with check in and warm up at 1:30 and the games 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, March 26, Mah Jongg – Location: Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes, 9508 E. Riggs Rd, Independent Living Building. The street entrance location is at the Chase bank on Riggs Rd. The event is held at the building straight ahead at the end of the street. Self park or free valet parking is available. Check in 9:00 Games begin at 9:30. Awards and gift prize drawings to be given out at the conclusion of the matches. Complimentary box lunch will follow.

March 31, Mexican Train -Location: The street entrance location is at the Chase bank on Riggs Rd. The event is held at the building straight ahead at the end of the street. Tuesday, April 1, Competitive Pickleball Team Round Robin- Oakwood Courts – Location– Oakwood golf course 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd. When you go down Oakwood blvd, it is the first driveway on the right. Park and walk behind the gym and go past the tennis courts and you will see the pickleball courts. Awards and gift prize drawings to be given out at the conclusion of the matches

 

 

Thursday, April 3, Bocce Ball – Palo Verde Sisk Park – Location: Sisk Park at Palo Verde​, 11119 East Drive. Palo Verde CC is off Alma School three blocks past Riggs Rd. Go to the San Tan St entrance. When you come to the gate, tell the guard you are here for the senior games. Go straight past the club house to the first street (½ mile) – Flame tree. Turn right and make a quick left at the next street. You will see the rotunda on your right. Awards and gift prize drawings to be given out at the conclusion of the matches. Complimentary hot dog lunch will follow.

Friday April 4th -Award ceremony and party - Location Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom. Location: Cottonwood Country Club Tennis Courts, 25630 S. Brentwood Dr. San Tan Ballroom. Pull into the parking area and look for the swimming pool. Go past the pool entrance and follow the sign to the San Tan Ballroom.

Doors open at 4:45 p.m. Complimentary champagne or cider

6:15 Awards Ceremony- The community trophy will be awarded along with recognition of our sponsors.
